Binoculars for Birdwatching & Beginners
We have compiled a list of the best binoculars for birding for you! You can’t go wrong with a nice pair of Hawke or Opticron binoculars.
We recommend that you choose a lower 8x magnification – as this means more light – & with more light comes more colour. Bird ID does rely on seeing colour. Secondly, with lower magnification (as opposed to 10-12x) you will have a wider field-of-view and this helps when your study is moving as birds often do. Our advice is always that 8x is the obvious choice, unless you need more power than is normal.
If you require some further assistance, then our experienced and friendly team is only a call or email away. We’re the biggest binocular shop in the North, so we’re confident we’ll be able to help answer any questions.
