Our opinion:
Hawke’s entry level Vantage 8×42 represents great value for money when considering the design and optical quality, not to mention their Lifetime Warranty. If anything ever goes wrong they will fix it! At Grovers Optics our mantra is – if in doubt get an 8x magnification and this is very much the case with this 5:1 brightness ratio (as opposed to the 10×42 “10s into 42” = 4.2:1 & consequently that much less bright 0.8::1). We recommend this smart binocular as the cheapest full size binocular worth buying.
