EQ Mounts With Go-To
If you want to image or photograph the night sky then an equatorial (EQ) mount is likely to be prefered. The move in the same radial axis as the night sky – so you do not get star trails in your images (or photos). These all feature a counter-weight so that the optical tube moves freely and the motors of the go-to do not strain. The size of the mount is to match the weight of the optical tube assembly (OTA).
