Go-To Mounts & Tripods
A Go-To mount will navigate & track an celestial object on your telescope. This saves time and helps you concentrate on observing and imaging the night sky. An Altitude-Azimuth mount is normally prefered for visual observing with an eyepiece, these move left-right and up-down. If you are likely to want to image or photograph the night sky then an equatorial (EQ) mount is likely to be prefered. The are more complex and move in the same radial axis as the night sky – so you do not get star trails in your images (or photos).
