Zeiss Conquest Apia 24-60×85 Spotting Scope ANGLED

The Zeiss Conquest Apia 24-60×85 Spotting Scope (Angled) is designed to balance the resolving potential and low-light capability of an 85mm spotting scope with a construction intended to remain practical for outdoor observation. Its optical and mechanical systems have been developed together to reduce unnecessary size and weight while retaining durability and comfortable handling.

The angled viewing configuration is particularly suited to tripod-mounted observation, allowing the scope to be positioned comfortably when watching birds, wildlife and distant subjects for extended periods.

The 2.5x zoom range provides 24x magnification at the wide end for scanning and locating subjects before increasing to 60x when finer identifying details need to be examined at greater distances. This gives observers flexibility without requiring a separate eyepiece for different magnifications.

The eyepiece has been designed around an immersive viewing experience throughout the zoom range, with a subjective viewing angle of 54° to 71°. The 85mm objective provides a 3.5mm exit pupil at 24x and 1.4mm at 60x.

A carefully balanced ZEISS HD optical system supports bright, detailed observation, including in more challenging light. The angled Conquest Apia achieves up to 87% light transmission, while selected glass types and Extra-Low-Dispersion glass help control chromatic aberration.

ZEISS T* multi-coating is applied to optimise brightness, while the roof prisms feature multi-layer coatings and phase correction to improve clarity and resolution.
