Light Shroud For Skyliner 200P FlexTube Dobsonians

This is an extremely useful accessory that is designed to cover the truss tube body opening of the OTA when it is extended. It serves to prevent stray light from entering the optical path, which will improve viewing contrast and will also help keep dust and dew off the mirrors.

The shroud is made from a polyester fabric with a black velvety inner surface which will prevent any internal reflections. The fabric is slightly elastic which makes it easy to fit around the telescope’s body contours.  Both ends of the light shroud have adjustable draw cords and there are Velcro strips fitted along its length to secure it to the OTA. There are also two rigid rods that run along the length of the shroud that maintains its shape so it can be easily and neatly wrapped around the telescope with the minimum of fuss without any bunching.
