Our opinion:
Hawke’s entry level represents great value for money when considering the design and optical quality, not to mention their Lifetime Warranty. If anything ever goes wrong they will fix it! If you are wanting to have that little bit more magnification then this 12×50 is for you. Choose this when you want the maximum magnification in a hand-held binocular (you can tripod mount these too). We mostly recommend this binocular for looking at distant subjects that are moving slowly & predictably (unlike birds), such as ships and airplanes.
