Our opinion:

The Hawke Nature-Trek 13-39x 56mm Spotting Scope – straight features a tough poly-carbonate body in a more compact design. Sharp across the the field-of-view & with the assurance of Hawke’s Lifetime Warranty. If anything ever goes wrong they will fix it! The barrel focuser works well & something normally only seen in more expensive scopes. The straight view (not an angled prism) gives the intuitive raise-to-the-eye operation, something prefered by aviation & transport enthusiasts. Certainly a tripod is not “necessary” for this scope, though it can be used when prefered. If you want a decent, compact spotting scope then we recommend this small scope.
