Designed & manufactured in Japan, the latest VHD optical system incorporates an FCD 100 glass objective lens element with refractive properties similar to Fluorite crystal. The result is reduced CA and improved colour saturation over standard ED helping the models deliver a new benchmark for resolution and colour contrast.
What makes the MM4 77 exceptional is the size and weight of the package. The fully rubber armoured 77 GA VHD/45 with SDLv4 18-54x is just 370mm/14.6” long and weighs 1519g/53.6oz. These figures read like a 65mm which is unable to deliver the optical performance of this 80mm class device.
Compatible with SDL, HDF, HR and MM3 eyepieces, existing owners can use their eyepieces with MM4 77 Fieldscopes.
