Acuter Voyager Mak 80 Telescope

The set consists of an 80mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope OTA with 800mm focal length, a 40x and 80x magnifying eyepiece, an optical 8×21 viewfinder, a particularly high-quality, phase-corrected 90° roof prism with image erection as well as a smartphone adapter and a carrying case. The set comes in an attractive gift box with a handle for easy transport. The telescope can be expanded as required with optionally available standard 1.25 “telescope eyepieces to increase the range of magnifications

The telescope can be mounted via the standard 1/4″ tripod thread on any photographic tripod. Mounting is also possible on astronomical mountings via the 45mm Vixen/Sky-Watcher dovetail bar

Our View:
This is a small powerful telescope, which means that brightness compromised by the miniturisation. We can do something about this with an additional 40mm (20x) eyepiece (below). This 800mm focal length (f/10) telescope is then twice as bright – something that is important for all purposes (not just astronomy). We would also recommend a moon filter to give better definition of the lunar topography. Despite what you may have read elsewhere, this telescope DOES require a tripod for normal use (see below)
