Its high-resolution, long focal length optical system is multi-coated to maximise contrast and image sharpness. The versatile SKYMAX-102S can also be used for High Power Daytime Terrestrial Observations (with an optional erecting prism diagonal, available separately).  The well engineered and easy to use AZ PRONTO Alt-Azimuth mount provides excellent stability and precise control, via its slow motion cables, on both the horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (altitude) axes. Ideal beginner’s telescope. Capture celestial images with your smartphone with the supplied Smartphone Camera Adaptor!
Our Opinion
A great little telescope that, because of being more powerful tan bright – needs a low powered eyepiece to increase the brightness. You will see both the Celestron & SkyWatcher plossl’s in the accessories on this ppage. You are also likely to want a moon filter set, which also has a light pollution filter. We recomend that this is used always, regardless of your location. Finally, this telescope is a good choice for terrestrial observation. You just need a 45 degree diagonal to turn the view the right way up (erect)
