Why buy this product? The M48 x 0.75cm thread is also referred to as “Large Aperture T-Thread” because it’s 6mm wider than the smaller 42mm T-Thread. This reduces the chance of “Vignetting” or light “cut-off” at the edges of the image-frame. What’s more, these DSLR adapters can be used in conjunction with an M48 30mm spacer (available separately) to form a 2″ Pushfit-to-DSLR-adapter, but with a wider aperture than the older T-Thread format. With a 30mm M48 spacer screwed into the base, they can be used in most focusers, diagonals and any 2″ push-fit telescope focuser for the widest compatibility.
